Exec/VP (Level 5) escorted out in Dallas - Anyone know what happened

Does anyone know what happened Friday afternoon in Dallas? An executive or VP (real estate/security) was escorted out of the building in a shuffle.

It just means the person is going to a competitor. Standard procedure so you don’t leave with proprietary stuff.

Most of CRE/real estate was contracted out a few months ago, maybe they found him still getting access to the office and then took his privileges away. Perp walked him to the door for dramatic effect.

That seems horrible. Did he struggle as he was escorted out to the door or did he try to play it cool. Either way I don't care. Saving money, one VP at a time. Many , many more to go to get T stock above $18. Let T build on this momentum.

Likely on orders from Uncle Larry.

I guess the announcement will come out in a week or so, assuming the separation was amiable (regardless of the perp walk out).

Please take note, this is what happens when you challenge Stankey. He will not tolerate it!

This was typical at another company I worked at when someone went to a direct competitor. They would be gone immediately (for obvious reasons) and you would only know when an email bounced back and you saw their LinkedIn.

No idea.
The only time I have heard someone escorted out was 20 years ago at another company. An executive told a female colleague to "e*t me".
The colleague looked at the executive peer who was also in the room and told him I want this man gone. The colleague was an analyst at the bottom of the ladder 4 levels down from the executive.
But security came and walked the executive out. I remembered how he depended on the kindness of another individual to forward an email. It was quite humbling to see how someone so at the top of his game so humiliated.
