Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Application screening questions

I have two questions. I was laid off in June 2020 at the height of Covid. I joined Hp in 2015 and The company split — and I stayed at Hpe. 1) I saw an HPE job that is interesting…. *would I make it past initial application screening (it asks whether you were a previous employee and for your employee #) — given my WFR specified that I cannot return? 2) Does this no-return policy of HPE carry over to HP - where I was an employee prior to the split and in the early 2000?

My dude: they're so desperate to hire, they will absolutely make any breathing human being an offer. The people on my team can barely read.

To the original poster - I would be approach the application process with some patience and skepticism. HPE has much of its recruiting outsourced to Korn Ferry. They are not very responsive and not as professional as many other companies.

Some people are happy with any job, regardless of company, pay, culture, growth, strategy, etc.

Even though I think both companies have very questionable leadership and their future outlook is uncertain, the company cultures are relaxed and the work is easy.

Money is a tool of survival and I think a lot of people want to find the easiest way to make money.

Why in the world would you want to return to either Company? Aprreciate you are already out of The Matrix. Wow... Speechless!

(cont. because my battery died on my phone)

To clarify, the key is where you ended up after the split. So you would say that you had five years with HPE (2015 to 2020), even before the split. If you were to interview with HPi today, your pre-split employment would not be relevant to them because they are a completely different company from HPE.

Either way, you can get a job from either company today. You were eligible to work for HPi after you were laid off from HPE in 2020. But in 2022, you were eligible to work for HPE again since your two year no return policy expired.

You are considered a former HPE employee, even after the split. Don't worry about HPi.

The no return policy occurs when you were laid off. There's a two year no return period at HPE (one year at HPi, but HPi doesn't apply to you).

Since you were laid off in 2020, you're free to join HPE again. Is it possible to join again? Yes.

Source: me... I joined HPE in 2016, laid off in 2020. I went to HPi in 2020, laid off in 2023. I interviewed with HPE but declined their job offer.
