Christian's email = €20k pre-tax paycut

Just under €4,000 petrol and tolls, just over €6,000 childcare hours during commute time. Nearly a quarter of salary gone, no skin of Christian's nose.

I work on a global team. I am the only person in my region. All of my meetings happen before the office even opens.

I can't really be expected to drive and hour and a half after my entire team is gone home for the day, to sit there and do the same work I am going to do at home.

So much for the new normal!!! What happened to the climate change (warming or cooling) caused by all this needless commuting and office space? I guess it was like the global cooling scare of the 70's. It just went away!

A huge datapoint that no one talks about is that CO2 only makes up .04% of the Earths atmosphere. Plants love it and animals and humans exhale it.

Its not about the climate. Its about profits and making more. Its only about the climate if that makes the rich richer.

Didn't SAP commit to employees a couple of years ago that flex work would be PERMANENT?

Absolutely, that appears to be the case.

For many global teams, where the team members are scattered around the world, the added value is minimal to none, as they would simply be in the office staring into computers instead of doing it from their home office. Instead, they have to commute and lose time doing that.

They might occasionally have lunch with team members, but that's about all, and it's enough every couple of weeks.

I am with the company for 10+ years and this seems to be the biggest su---r punch coming from the management so far.

Shame on you!
