I sure hope that once everyone RTO’s that they can remove some of this ridiculous spyware that crashes my pc each day. It is so embarrassing to be typing on the screen with clients watching while the keyboard lags. Definitely hinders me from being as productive as I should be each day waiting for dashboards to download. Oh and I’ve been waiting for a new pc since 2022…Either update our technology or remove the obstacles making us less productive as we are now taking on more roles and responsibilities!

The spyware was there long before the pandemic. Make sure you don’t get coffee or go to the bathroom, as the time off counts against you

I’m getting canned and forced to do training videos to train my replacements. New laptop with all the spyware is so bad it kept crashing, negating my ability to train. You reaped what you sowed FB
Spyware is the least of your problems if you're in a tech role. Good luck keeping access to the servers you're meant to manage, your admin rights have been removed and if you're lucky you can beg for them back, and maybe even get them in time to fix that outtage that's been ongoing for three days now.
Oh, and if your computer knowledge stops at level where your 7 year old helps explain the basics of type a doc in word, do we have laptops for you, cause that's all you'll be able to do, word, excel, and outlook. Again if you're in a tech role and need powershell, wsl and bash, or cmd prompt then, "no, we don't trust you".
I used to laugh and say we were trusted with servers responsible for critical infrastructure, but not our own laptops. Now you're not trusted with either.
Remember we advertise as a fintech with some the brightest and most trusted minds to the world. While being treated as toddlers internally.
Sorry there are no funds available for new equipment.
I have a new laptop and it's just as slow or slower than my old one. I doubt you getting a new one will help you.
