The real question is why JD hasn’t been fired yet. I’d rather have AC. At least he’s been in the weeds and not like JD in his ivory tower

AC didn’t get canned. From what I understand, he was the only one that stood up to JD regarding the direction Nike should go. And he was right. Innovation and I’m sure more.

Glad AC finally got the boot. He is a shallow jerk. But, you can’t blame him for RAT. Not his hire. JD helped bring him in. Our tech CEO made that call.

Thank you AC for getting the RAT fired but you took yourself down too

@1gbw+1qtMXA3G Of course they are punching above their weight. They weren't hired for their skills. They were hired for connections and to make sure they cooperate and protect each other. Non-Kohls people pointed out they weren't doing their jobs, but since they were everywhere, they would just get their reviews from each other or their Kohls boss would protect them. Crooked as he-l.

People went to HR and HR did nothing. Nike has a chance to purge this. I would be angry if they kept this ilk and let go of hard-working, competent people.

@1ur … I hope you are right, feels like wishful thinking. Almost all the Khols hires all the way down to senior managers are punching above their weight class. Still amazed it took this long to start purging some of these clowns.

So this has already started a TOP down approach... next in line are RAT's VP hires then SR dr and DR SM and principal engineers. If you see previous employment as Kohls then they are done for the day. Whoever came from there should start searching job immediately.

he was not hit because of CDA fiasco...but because of RAT. He was a good guy thats why was not fired like RAT earlier. Some how he was cheated buy a crony Indian manager i would say.

RAT = Ratnakar Lavu

If you haven't had the misfortune of working with him or the Kohls crew that he brought in, consider yourself lucky. He brought them into different areas of the company to build his empire and usurp power. He set up TPM to compete with NDP. He set up AIML to compete with Data Science. What a joke! Ratnakar created SVP/VP/Sr. Directors positions and new groups, who in turn, hired all their Kohls cronies to steal work from others and consolidate power. And they worked together as a cabal to push out people who wouldn't play ball and just wanted to do work.

Yeah, AC deserves to get canned for bringing Rat in. They ruined Nike's culture in a few short years.

Brother AC was CEO in waiting...at one time. I guess he had to take the hit for the CDA fiasco.

Who is RAT?

Wow, $2.75M. He may have done great work in the past, but hiring the Rat was a huge and costly mistake for the company and probably cancelled any good he did in the past.

I thought people hate everyone on EVP? First time I saw someone say AC was a nice person, I’ve heard nothing positive about anyone from CEO down to your direct director.

This was not a surprise, people. It has been announced last year!!

This seems like a typical exit.

Director of strategic business ventures wasn’t exactly a promotion for him. It’s a sink or swim position. I wouldn’t be surprised if he offered himself up, tbh. He’s a genuinely nice guy like that.

At his level, 2.75m surely wasn’t a severance exclusively. It was likely in his contract and triggered by early departure. (Which is why I think he may have offered himself up… But that’s entirely a guess- we haven’t exactly been nailing new business acquisitions, so I could be wrong)

I completely forgot about him. Has he even been working in the last year since the Rat's departure?
