HSA for recent retirees

In addition to insurance being cancelled, I checked my new HSA card and it showed zero balance when it should have 30K. Tried to call HR several times and got disconnected. Frustrating!

HSA never goes away. Funds should be on your old card until they fully transition those balances to the HealthEquity.

I have 35K. I use my HSA as a tax deferral. Its still at UMB HSA. Humana started depositing to HealthEquity HSA 1/1/24. Later in Jan Humana will send out a notice to close your UMB HSA investments if you have them in preparation to move all funds to HealthEquity HSA.

30k seems like a lot of HSA $$$. I can see 3k but not 30,000.

OP- your old card has all of your funds and can be used through March at which time the funds will be transferred over to the new card. The new cards are not funded until your first check in January.
