Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

CCB continues to bleed

Not to beat a dead horse but in CCB (specifically in Commercial or Business Connect size) it's honestly been a dumpster. Feels like every day I'm hearing of decent sized accounts leaving. Yesterday had a company accountant call in telling me how "we left and none of the companies in her town banked with Truist anymore -- used to be almost all of them."
Also had another teammate telling me yesterday that a client with $1.5MM rolling deposits left because they hadn't heard from their RM in FIVE YEARS.
I know these aren't the biggest accounts ..... but then the branch will send us referrals or call us up thinking we're insane for simply letting some of these walk out the door. Branch Managers will try to get in touch with RM's to zero response. It's a common complaint I'm hearing from the branches. Especially when it's a only over a few hundred grand or so. I feel for the branches. Then these Branch Managers think we're nuts for not getting around to calling a million dollar client back, etc.
We're severely understaffed and have to be bleeding millions a day at this point (considering I hear these stories EVERY DAY and I'm in one little area..). It's wild and such a mess. Exciting to hear Mr. Weaver tomorrow and trying to stay motivated -- but I can tell a lot of teammates are over it, and have been for at least a few months.

Have a good day all.
