Yet they are planning more and currently building branches in Chicago. Why does WF take the simple and then make it difficult?

Why would you need so many branches when Chintan and TK have told the world we have the best online banking.

"Between bad processes and untrained employees closing branches is good".

Finally, someone posting to this site makes perfect sense in this excellent comment!

Bank branch expenses are second only to employee headcount expenses that drain $$$$$ from the corporate bottom line. Eliminating both branches by closing, and employees by RIF every bank gets both birds with one action.

Makes sense, keep moving forward.

No news here. Branch use is down as everyone knows. Heck, I'm 65 and I've only been to a branch once in 10 years because WF said that's the only way I could get a document I needed for Treasury signed. The branch didn't know what I was talking about of course.
I opened an account with ALLY online and they emailed me a signed certified copy of the same form. Between bad processes and untrained employees closing branches is good.
