Thread regarding CVS layoffs

When are people finally going to say enough is enough with this evil corporation known as CVS?

Hours cuts, low wages, understaffing, horrible unsafe working conditions, unrealistic expectations on metrics, DL's and RD's shoving metrics down your throat, etc, etc.

When is enough, enough? What's the breaking point and when will people finally say NO to corporate?

Only until the fear of a union becomes real for not only retail, but corporate too, will executive leadership actually get off their greedy as**s and improve working conditions.

As a 20+ year Store Manager, I am looking to leave. Not because it's terrible, but because I don't know what the future of the front store is. Outdated registers. Our instore wifi for our handhelds is so slow. And as part of the New Lower Pricing program, they lowered our margins and our bonuses went down because they thought customers would buy more. In effect, they reduced our earnings potential when it comes to our bonuses. When they fully integrate Oak St into normal size stores it's going to be a problem. They opened the first in Houston, but that store is 18K sq ft and you can fit the Oak St. part in. When it comes to 10-12k sq ft store, how much of the FS product is going to go away. They won't readjust FS budgets and bonus will go down again. The only reason I have put off trying to leave is because I love my DL. Buy you to do what is best for you. They will not show us any loyalty.

Because mgmt believes everything can be automated, no FTE's are needed and everything else can be outsourced........It's a publicly traded company. It's all about the bottom line and pleasing stockholders.

@6ghn+1qlfYZl1 A relationship is a two-way street, and leaders who refuse to listen will eventually have nobody left to talk to.

To the person who wrote the last post saying CVS doesn't need you… guess what?! I’d love to see Karen and her cult following try and run the company with no employees. At this point about 90% of the staff is pi---d off and ready to quit. I’ll be real interesting watching the 10% that are left carry the duties of the hard working people that have built the business. So I suggest you leave your co--y a-s, insensitive comments to yourself.

Go buy your own business and run it like you want or be quiet you are a paid employee .Is giving your opinion on company decisions , in your job description ? Enjoy your paycheck and be thankful, CVS does not need you and will not miss you at all .if you moved on .

CVS is hemorrhaging because they got greedy with all these acquisitions and don’t have a clue how to efficiently run anything. They treat their employees like cr-p and promote a white collar slavery environment

Below poster: I believe that hiring based on qualities other than credentials, achievement, and skills is how we have ended up where we are now.

So sad that a few cannot look beyond the click bate to see this. Look at the situation at Harvard, hired for reasons other than skill and now being exposed for plagiarism & cheating the system.

“Hires, fires, and promotes based on body parts and race.”

I hope you get the understanding and help you need to support everyone having an equal opportunity to succeed in life. And that you reflect on why your reaction is so negatively charged for some demographics. Mistakes in leadership will happen. Body parts and race good or bad. Decisions and strategies aligned with individuals are good or bad.
