Was wondering if folks wfr'd at the end of FY23 are receiving FY23 bonuses? I was wfr'd and read in the wfr documentation that we would be eligible for the FY23 bonus. I would think this would be paid out Dec. 29 or 30? Is anyone able to confirm

I was wfr'd on Oct 28. I can confirm that I did not receive any bonus. I was with HPE for 14 years.
My former manager confirmed with HR that people who have worked the full fiscal year and then laid off (like me!) are eligible for the bonus pay. It should be paid out with the severance about 60 days after the termination date.
I had eggs on toasted sour dough bread this morning. It was tasty!
Why bother over the derogatory bonus? Please have some self-respect.
Hey thanks for the encouragement. I actually did find a new job and started a couple of weeks ago.
But I have not received a bonus and I know they are always paid out at the end of December. So just trying to get feedback from other folks who HPE have wfr'd recently or in past years, to share experiences about the annual bonus. And if folks got it in the past or got it today, etc
To answer your question, the reason why it's in February is because that's when raises and other merits take into effect. If you've been with the company for more than a year, you may remember that your new raise starts in Feb 1st.
Sorry typo...
can pull* reasons...
Sorry about your layoff. I promise you that your next job will be pay you substantially higher. I recently signed a job offer for one of your suppliers and I will get paid almost double.
A lot of people don't like getting laid off around this time but in my opinion, it's the best time to look for a job because budget renewals are going on.
Keep your head high. I was laid off back in late Sept. and had about 3 interviews before my last day, including my new company. Their hiring process was slow but hey, I got the job. In total, I had about... maybe... 12 interviews in total with 7 different companies.
My advice is not look for something with a big company or the exact same role you have been doing. You're going to stress yourself out looking for that type of job. Slow down, review your skills, figure out what else you can do in your career with the skills you have.
Good luck, happy new year.
Thanks for these responses. I am not sure why you would get a potential bonus in February. They should be getting paid out today.
I was laid off recently. There's a clause in your severance agreement that says if you were laid off during Q4, you MAY be entitled to your year end bonus. Key word here is "may" and that's literally a word that is carefully placed in the agreement.
I talked with my former manager about this. He actually had no idea about this but he thanked me for bringing it up. My manager and I had a solid relationship. I know he wasn't the one who wanted to lay me off as he was just following orders.
Anyways, during my last week, we had a lot of 1-on-1 meetings to make sure I handed off my work and talked about literally anything.
During one of those meetings he got back with me with more information about that claus:
He said yes, that I was eligible and mentioned that I could get a check in the mail in February containing that year end bonus. Again, the word "could" is never a guarantee.
Given that layoffs are meant to cut costs, it's unlikely the company will actually give you that money. It's never a guarantee and I'm sure HR can call reasons out of a hat. But you are eligible.
When I was WFR'd October 2021 I was pleasantly surprised to get a bonus around this time of year so hang in there you will hopefully get something soon. I was expecting nothing.
