Layoffs in Illinois
Can somebody please clarify what does this mean? Were there layoffs in Illinois yesterday or is this about something that is coming in January or February? It's hard to believe they'd be laying people off a day after Christmas, but sadly, it's not impossible, which is why I'm asking.
A lot of the layoffs that were announced in October, etc. actually finalized 12/30. Meaning that their few months of "separation" (not getting severance as of yet, but also not able to work, yet still getting a paycheck) completed and their severance kicked in. I am not saying every single person, but a lot of people I know were 12/30 dates and were let go in October or another month depending on their State's WARN month designation.
Without concrete evidence, it's only rumors.
Who even knows the motivation of people on this board? Take everything you read with a grain of salt. But like the commenter said above, nothing in WARN notice for November for IL. If you were being laid off in IL, you would have heard by now.
The October warn notice said about 40 people were going to be laid off 12/30. There's nothing for CVS in the November notice.
