Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Evaluating Management's Commitment to Employee Recognition

We understand the current financial constraints our bank is navigating. However, it is disheartening to see another year pass without any acknowledgment from the IT leadership team under Scott Case in regard to any holiday greetings or acknowledgements of the work that has been delivered. While Scott did send a general email to the entire IT team, a more personal note from those directly under him would have been a thoughtful gesture, especially considering the efforts we've all given the bank, throughout the year.

There was no employee recognition or thanks from Clark Starnes CRO or Michelle Falconer Director of Operational Risk. There was no $$ for a Christmas lunch either. Super disappointing that leadership has forgotten about the people the do the actual work.

What are you smoking? You work for a woke, progressive corporation that doesn’t send warm and fuzzy greetings.

Well Case’s leadership did recordings of fake holiday videos to send to the team so guess it was realized it was total BS. Case is a pr--k and is bringing down Truist with his partner Bill. Scott puts everyone on notice and then gets rid of them as they know his story of lies and deception known as Enterprise Technology.

@bzz+1qhKLqqG -- The OP kinda referred to it in that vague/blanket term type of way. I realize there are subtypes within IT but OP basically just said "IT leadership didn't give their teams a pat on the back." I can't speak for the other responses and the diss about coding. That person was a clear troll.

Why is it you bank employees can differentiate different subtypes of loan officers, invest bankers and financial advisors but you lump everything computer related to "IT" in a general vague concept. A software dev is not the same as a help desk call center employee, a server admin is not the same as a contract employee who configured and ships your laptop. Even among those groups, there are subgroups that are dedicated to different lines of business. So saying "IT" as a generalization is like saying "banker" for all client facing employees and "administration" for all internal management and HR. P. S. As a client and not a fellow employee, a lot to f you bankers su-k and administration doesn't do a thing about it and it's not ITs fault that EL is an indecisive sh!t show that doesn't know if it's coming or going that couldn't manage lemonade stand.

Speaking of IT it took a literal MONTH to get a laptop up and running (with the correct systems etc.) when I was hired here about two years ago. And I was told some purple box with new hire info would be mailed to me... which took like THREE MONTHS. What a way to welcome new employees in CCB. Been a dumpster fire ever since smh. (PS I'm not blaming you guys because I'm sure you're understaffed like every other dept... but this bank has been a disaster quite literally since I stepped foot into the doors lol)

I was really holding my tongue to avoid saying "IT does things here?"
