My coworkers and I have no requisitions to fill, no new projects approved, fighting over work. We feel like sitting ducks. Jobs that are posted are being cancelled or remain up for show. Will more TA/HR be laid off? It is eerily quiet for over a year.

I mean, no offense, but if you literally have no work to do, it sounds like your job is not necessary and will likely be cut.

What have they been doing? I bet that they have been "working" from home.
Nike ran like a well oiled machine with half the recruiters & sourcers that they have now and back then they did 3x the hiring. Inevitably, you will be laid off. The writing’s on the wall.
Project assignments or build relationships with future candidates. A lot of us have nothing to do, including the managers. If we get a requisition to work on, it ends up being taken away sometime during the process or we aren’t allowed to make an offer. All our work is wasted. I know we’re next I just want to know when. People I know in other HR or TA areas have nothing to do or are overloaded because of previous layoff rounds. The workload never gets fairly distributed. I have time to help others but we get turned down when asked to help other areas.
Serious question; if it’s been so quiet, what have you all been doing for the past year?
