Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

$2B cost cutting over 3 years

Even considering 2000 employees layoff
$150K average yearly salary
That’s $900m worth of salary in the next 3 years.

How will Nike save the other $1B if not for salaries.

Does that mean the layoff number could be higher?

400-450m is the cost of severance. Not the value of those laid off. That amount will be much lower in relation to $2b.

No, because not all of the 2BN is coming from layoffs. 400-450M is, and that’s a global number over 3 years

Eliminate Health Insurance coverage. I’m kidding of course but that subsidy does add up.

Once SEC is done, if it’s not scrapped, a lot of employees and ETWs will be let go. Before RAT joined, IT budget was $1.1B, by the time RAT left it was at $2.3B. Go figure!

Cancelling Athletes contract?
Didn’t we just cut ties with Tiger Woods, that should be $100m in itself.
