Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Try and enjoy the holidays

Next month will be horrible for all of us due to anticipation and related stress. But at least we know nothing will happen before January, so try to use these few remaining days of certain safety to not think about it and enjoy your time with your family. I know it's easier said than done, but we all need to recharge our batteries to be at 100% mentally for what's about to happen. So at least try.

I think it’s virtually impossible to not think about this and have it effect our holidays. Family budgets have already been long put into action, presents bought, winter vacations already planned long before these “announcements” came. Instead of trying to recharge my battery to 100% (though I get your point), I think it’s time to put your armor on and be prepared for the battles to come. Whether laid off or not, it’s going to get much worse for a long while… which is saying something since it’s already been really bad

Where in the world did I try "getting us to care about a thankless job?" All I said is to try and stop worrying so you can enjoy the days off with your family properly. The 100% refers to your mental state (being relaxed and refreshed to be able to deal with the stress better) and has nothing to do with work. I don't care about Nike any more than you do so I'm genuinely confused at how you got what you did from my post.

Nike Leadership is the issue, but just like the elites of the world they will never admit their own fault. The current leadership ruined Nike.

Nice try getting us to care about a thankless job. We will not be at 100 percent to pick up the slack for you useless leaders. We will be updating our resumes and trying to stomach returning to the office you dummy.
