Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

At least they are not planning to reduce severance

Which is the only good thing about all of this, since it's always my biggest fear when it comes to layoffs.

It exactly true, I know multiple people who were given 1 year severance and 1 year insurance during CDA. I’m hoping they will do that again

There’s a formula for severance. Typically it’s 2 weeks of pay for every year at the company, capped at 6 months or 26 weeks of pay unless you hold a Sr. Director or higher position. That’s generous too compared to most other companies. Problem is, in this funky job market it can take 6 months or longer to land a new job. Ask me how I know.

Says who? Severance is often different for everyone depending on the reorg, level, tenure, etc. what’s your benchmark?
