We still have at least a month to go. They will be in late Jan and early Feb.

I spent 14+ years with the Swoosh and survived every one of these RIF's. After the 2020 layoffs, likely the worst I had seen, I left the company for greener pastures and have not looked back since. I still love the brand, have my lifetime employee discounts, and drive past campus regularly, not once regretting my decision to leave.

The layoffs will be unplanned, and there will be no rationale (that most will understand) applied to who is let go and who gets to stay. There will likely be a reorg after that, that will also be hard to digest. It will be a sh-t show.

For those of you who will need to deal with the "will I be laid off" stress, I feel your pain, having been there myself. I promise that there is life outside the berm. In fact, that life will likely be better. Nike puts you in this comfort zone that is very disconnected from the rest of the world, and unless you're close to retirement, take this opportunity to seek what is out there.

So no singing 'nah nah hey hey goodbye' as the crying people walk to their cars for the last time? At least with flexible workspaces they don't have to carry a cardboard box full of cubicle bling.

But do it with "respect and thoughtfulness"
