Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Bethel, Alaska branch

Canny’s email- “ I want to share that the national labor relationship board has informed Wells fargo that the union request to withdraw its petition for an election to represent employees at our Bethel Alaska, branch.

we are pleased with the news as we value the direct relationship we have with our employees and believe it’s best way to continue to support you in our customers.”

Thoughts?

My thought is she needs a WAY better comms partner. This email and the prior one are really off putting in tone. Clumsy. Sound like royal proclamations - I hear them in the late Queen Elizabeth's voice.

This should have sent a message to Colleen & Saul but I don’t think they heard it.

I would assume the staffing plan is for Premier locations only. They'll probably let the others die out

Anyone else disgusted with Canny's emails. "We are pleased." "This disappoints us." I mean, what better way to reinforce the ivory tower perception?

Still waiting to hear Canny's grand staffing solution. She bragged about being able to control staffing several months ago. SVB mentioned a great staffing plan and solution that she was working on a few months ago.

I got news for all branch employees. Staffing models for 2024 are not going to be better. There is alot of work underway to determine what the floor realistically is, meaning what is truly the minimum required to operate each branch. I'm just anxious to hear how Canny spins this one.

I am not a fan of unions. I think they are ultimately a detriment to its members. And obviously, they don't help a business succeed and grow; that's not their interest. However, I hope that Chainsaw and the Board of Directors are shaking. They've done this to themselves. You cannot treat employees like this. You cannot verbally say employees are not quitting fast enough. The lone mantra we hear from Chainsaw is accelerate cuts. Do more with less. In the end, there is a price to pay. I think we'd all agree morale is at an all-time low. That is a real risk. Chainsaw has been far too heavy handed. He needs to go. So I hope the unions don't ultimately succeed. But I hope they do have some short term success to send a clear message to NYC.

Those employees were threatened with their lives and chickened out.

Ah, yes, they chose to not go the union route so they must have a g-n held to their head.

Employees are probably scared to go against what leaders want. Maybe being bullied to stand down.

Come out and say what you’re getting at, OP, instead of just coyly reposting corporate spin. It’s not like we can’t see through this little charade you pull on here asking for “thoughts”
