Hey managers here is your new title, it means less then your last one so we don’t have to increase your salary as much to match the job market for your current position, but please continue all your responsibilities and we and some more to that too. Happy holiday s!

I see a lot of people updating LinkedIn to new titles, but performing the same role. If the sheep want to be placated by fancy words, great, unless I am getting compensated with a pay bump, keep the title change.
My grade 7 manager makes up his own title. He is a local supervisor of 20 techs but in his email signature says he is supervisor of all GN&T.
My title is A$$istant K00L aid drinker

Both those titles existed months and years ago and still exist today. At least based on their video it seems they are more in a line noe than adjacent to eachother before.
For some that have been around a little longer (10+ years) some of the old titles are back like Associate Director vs SR Manager.
Have been hearing from other employees that the title change and focus on Manager level and above only have lower levels agitated.
Best of luck to all out there!
What's the new title?
To be honest, based on Ford financial performance and quality issues, all you deserve is a Jelly of the Month Club 1 year membership!
No pay raise for any of the managers I’ve talked to. I’ll be honest.. I’m not sure why they did this at all. People are leaving because we’re tired of the constant re orgs and layoffs so I’m not sure what overpaid consultant told them it was some stupid title.
The raises were just words. I tried to tell the cashier at the grocery store to see it would help pay but they just wanted money.
How much were the manager raises?
& the biggest slap in the face to the peons, as usual. They have been hearing employee feedback for some time now in regards to minimal raises as the world fights inflation and struggles and the most useless bunch gets title changes and - don't be fooled - there most certainly are pay increases for some/most involved. Just sickening. Once again, ask for feedback and then just double-sm--k the folks actually doing the WORK every single day right in the face. Disgusting.
At this point I'm happy that it didn't come with a pay decrease. The bump in title will at least make it easier to get hired elsewhere in an equivalent role.
