Severance and early retirement. Freedom! I am one of the few that hopes I’m the one.

Now communications and HR are trying to get us excited about being laid off. We don’t want it MM.

It depends how big the severance is. If it’s 6 month severance it will be nice to have extra cash after getting a new job. If I get a new job soon enough after then I’ll probably buy a new car.

As a person who prays every day not to be laid off, If that happens, I get to enjoy not being stressed and live at the edge evey day..... Admittedly, I am extremely nervous at work watching closely how my Dir micro manages me and how passive aggressive his interaction is.. I usually have to use the restroom a few times a day just to calm down my anxiety attacks...so it ducks but still I am hoping to get paid in this economy

Leaving Portland and enjoying the summer. I can dedicate time to upskill into a whole new career. Also get 8 hours of sleep consistently. Enjoy not being micromanaged.

Looking forward to gardening but hopefully finding a new job quickly so my emergency fund doesn't get decimated
