Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Is it done for now?

Should we expect other departments to be hit as well?

The roll off to Limerick isn't done by a long shot.

Limerick affected folks already knew late last year though.
They could keep rolling more and more groups there and elsewhere though.

Is it over? No. It will never end until at least 90% of employees are overseas. Brush up your resumes.

hopefully doesn't hit us too bad. The first time Verizon has been ahead on anything is layoffs. We started ours way before the tech industry bleed out started.

People got too used to the weird pause COVID made. I feel they are playing catchup now but near constant threat of RIFs is normal at least in my part of VZ. Sometimes there was a lull because they could just not backfill when people left for other jobs or retired but our beadcount numbers decline almost every year.
