What happened to the managers who’s team got culled to 1 and will most likely be booted when the open projects are finished?

The misunderstanding is thinking this wasn't the plan all along. They were hired to do what they're doing. Investment groups like Jefferson strip their victims of all their value and then sell off the scraps. The remaining executives get paid a golden parachute and never look back at your destroyed life.
