Can we ask that when the circus folk jump off the clown bus and the music is blaring and lights are flashing that teammates not act like they are part of some crazy pseudo cult…..cheering, clapping, and yelling like mo--ns. Authenticity is a core value and jumping up and down with fake enthusiasm won’t help change.

But Bill looks at everyone in the eyes while on stage! What an impactful gesture. - Insert fa-t noise -
Clown
The word I keep swing over and over
These people are your superiors
Act like it
And clean up the language
It’s baffling that EL is doing a world tour in their private jets while cutting headcount and paying out partial bonuses. Do investors not see that this mindset is what’s tanking this bank?! Hope they wake up and stop supporting this.
Anyone not playing along with the mission does need to leave
I propose we rename the executive leadership town-hall visits “The Sycophants Symposium”.
My favorite part of the meetings is sitting back and watching that same group of employees pandering to an executive team that clearly despises them. I love watching the unmistakable hints of disgust flash on Bill/Beau/Joe’s face(s) when one of the poor “zeros” dares to approach the monarchy.
Unfortunately for the last several years (even before the merger in some areas) these sessions were so tightly choreographed and scripted (only allowing prescreened questions) that they became useless wastes of time and money. Total BS feel-good for EL. The RPs were clearly told to not allow any real dialogue nor feedback and to keep out anyone who might not play along.
I propose a shift in our approach to townhalls and listening sessions. Kim Dorsett, along with her region or area leaders, mandating pre-submitted questions undermines the authenticity of these forums. True courage lies in welcoming unrehearsed questions, fostering open dialogue, and genuinely addressing concerns on the spot. Let’s create an environment where every teammate feels heard without prior restrictions. Allison, take note and don’t allow your executives to sell you on this idea; it’s ludicrous.
I recall when John Allison used to make the rounds, He didn't demand adoration like the new leaders, who consider themselves a few levels above the workers.
Without a doubt, the weirdest place I’ve ever worked.
It’s too little too late for Bill to act as though he cares about the “Teammates” at this bank. He has shown in every way from his installation as CEO the disdain he has for us particularly all hBBT people. He is in over his head and cannot undo the damage he has done by holding picture taking sessions at different locations while many people smile and act like all is well. If this is what you get with a 23 person operating clowncil the tent is not big enough!
Such a great post- I’ve never understood why people go nuts to hear the CEO of a regional bank speak. Remember that you’re looking at the people that have cost you bonus money, taken your retirement money from you, ensured that you never see a meaningful raise, and have driven a company into the ground. I’d love to see this clowns walk into a room of silence and skeptical faces so they know what people really think of them.
