Vacation days at quit date

I know on teamworks they say accrued time off not used when you leave gets reimbursed to terminating employee.
I plan on taking floaters and personal days before I quit.

I am an exempt employee, do exempt also get refunded unused but accrued or does this only apply to non exempt . I prefer the extra money to using the days if I wouldn’t get reimbursed

Thanks

Yes. Already used my Personal Days (no floaters this year, due to when holidays fall on 2024 calendar) and my Community Service days, since those are not paid out.

I've been banking my PTO like a squirrel w/nuts (e.g., in my state, it's not use it or lose it w/PTO like most other states since PTO is co sidwred wages where i reside -- we're just subject to a max accrual cap of 1.5 times PTO allowance).

My unused, accrued vacation is almost 3 mo. -- more than even 60-day WARN notice period (soon to be 75 days). It adds up to give a better buffer to find new job in tough market.

When employment is volatile, many take similar steps (if they can).

Congrats on the new gig. Sometimes people are nervous to start a new job. Don't be. No matter where you're going, it cannot be any worse than this place.

There's only one direction (up) to go when you leaves Wells.

Yes, you will get paid for the unused but accrued PTO days. You are also doing the right thing by using ALL of your floaters first because those don't get paid out.

If you have a laptop with you at home, then you will feel ecstatic the moment you drop it off at the FedEx store. That day ranks up there with the best of wedding days and kids being born ;)
