Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Q4 ER is really bad

I don't understand the logics of our board. Why do they want to keep BB until later this year? If an employee knows that they will be leaving the company soon, it is natural to assume that they may not be motivated to work hard to make the company better. Additionally, I believe that it is not appropriate for the current CEO to hire their own successor. This could lead to a conflict of interest and may not be in the best interest of the company. BB should be fired right away!

It's very rare to give out EPS expectation for next year, especially much worse. I think they're doing that to lower the stock price to attract potential acquirer of the company.

I think the problem is you can pass off expenses and shift goalposts until you cant...so the major miss observed was actually a series of minor misses with some smoke abd mirrors with Humana finally taking the hit to recalibrate expectations and earnings.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a company miss expectations by this much, outside of a major event like Covid or 9/11. What's most disturbing, is that leaderships seems completely caught off guard by it and have bungled the communication in every way possible.

It's shocking how amateur and inept these recent events have been :(

Conflict of interest or not, it doesn't change the fact that the company is poised to lose a quarter of its market cap in a week's time.

It’s not a conflict of interest to work on choosing your successor, it happens all the time at higher levels of leadership

Past is the Past. The important thing is the Future, and it is really horrible: Adjusted EPS projected for 2024- $16, 2025- $6~10.

Abysmal results. Bruce and the two levels of leaders below him need to GO. No severance either!

that bullet point was intended to be a minus sign, as in we missed EPS expectations by 111%
