This is a true corporation now. It’s not the Nike you knew. Get your resume together and apply, apply and apply. Don’t ever give up. It’s a tough market, but it will turn around. Network. All hands together; we will see this through. God Bless

I chee wah wah. It doesn’t matter what you believe. Just say a prayer or whatever in your head. It’s the intention.
God bits are good. Just take a minute to pray for yourself and others. Leave a window of hope for everyone even if you don’t believe.
It’s been the same layoffs every few years stuff for ten years now. Nike hasn’t changed. Things are more formal and bureaucratic now. There was favoritism then as now. I will say swag, travel and events were more plentiful in the past. Offsites more over the top and frequent. It’s penny pincher mindset now.
Good old days were NOT good for most of the people…were only good if you satisfy a very specific criteria
This post is wild - since when has swoosh not been a corporation whose sole existence was profit? I would offer that the only difference is now the veil has been lifted and we can see the underbelly of what it's really like to work there.
Also, whenever someone reminisces about the "good ole days", it might be useful to ask for whom were ye olden days good? Hint: a very specific demographic who looked/talked/acted like the SLT. Ask any woman or POC whether the good ole days were good for them.
Just woke up. Now I’ll join the zoom meeting from home.
It’s always been a corporation. First time?
Sure, all that....but without the god bits.
There are a few good people left in management. Build faith in yourself and try not to let it/them grind you down.
There is a life, and jobs, outside the Berm.
And, as most of us have discovered, way fewer egomaniacal @ssholes and su-kups.
