Thread regarding Capital One layoffs

stack ranking conundrum

A group of managers were huddled in a meeting to discuss employee feedback and it was a sign of a showdown with the company. Employees described a lack of trust in leadership and poor morale due to random and unjustified firings due to stack rankings and the use of PIPs as we-pons for retaliation against employees. Emoloyees say stack rankings are biased and unexplained with no way for raising the bar for employees to show improvement. The management team knew it was coming home to roost but have to do stack rankings or get fired themselves. Managers are stack ranked themselves and VP level and up just get fired by their managers if they aren't liked.

CEO and CHIEF HR OFFICER and their co-conspirators have a huge governance problem on their hands, and all of them need to be fired. Without the employees the company can't run and employees are saying they know what is going on and calling management out on it. Very likely employees will use the dirt they have on the company in their overall business practices and report it to the regulators and get Capone in trouble for other things unrelated to stack rankings as a payback.

Caller ID can be spoofed and that's how customers have their money stolen. If they can't provide secret information to validate their identify then its a fraudster.

See the last response below. This is typical of c1 in refusing to implement fraud controls to protect their customers. When their heads are jammed with filth such as harassing employees to meet their biased stack ranking quotas.

I worked in a fraud dept and had to monitor calls to ensure agents were following Regulatory and dept guidelines. An agent took a call, never asked a customer name, no acct popped up. Agent used the caller ID, never verified the caller, and assumed the acct that showed under the CID phone number was correct. Worked the account without even confirming the correct account was pulled up. I brought the concern to my Senior Manager, about the Regulatory Compliance concerns and risk and was told I was being to “black and white” in my scoring and should remain “grey.” This was in a FRAUD dept

Yes. In mid 2023 hundreds of employees on the anti-money laundering team were placed on PIPs and fired. C1 has not resolved the issue of money laundering. Those same employees can be whistleblowers to the government. Other employees in tech can snitch on how after the breach there are still non-secure data security practices. Lots of skeletons in their closet.

All this sounds about right from a 26 year employee who left a while ago. While I am grateful for having a job, it was just an awful situation for most of my career there. It was amazing how the clouds cleared and the blue skies came out and I started smelling the flowers again after leaving that place. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't.

The key word is CONSPIRACY. There are co-conspirators across all divisions perpetuating this harassment and bias. It's illogical that a regulated company would do this to employees and make enemies of them, when those same eemployees could rat them out on any numbwr of issues like lack of anti-money laundering and data security controls. It's pretty d-mb if you think about it cuz the company has too much dirt or skeletons in their closet.

I have the receipts showing the behind the scenes chaos with their corrupt stack rankings and use of PIPs to fire enoloyees with no or little severance. If you are fired immediately apply for unemployment to say you're laid off and not because of fake performance reviews. If C1 fights paying for unemployment benefits then you accuse them of bias, discrimination, harassment, anti-semitism, racism, s-xism, ageism, colorism, lookism, disability, religion, and wrongful termination. And anything else including that you were a whistle blower for serious corporate misconduct.

Total corruption. Those things stack rank employees while directly stealing credit for employees work. Shameless and filthy rags. When they steal your work confront them because it shows lack of respect and trust. If they steal from you then they'll lie on your review to cover up that they're stealing because they're too stupid and lazy to do the work.
