Central office project sparkle

Does anyone know why project sparkle is being pushed so heavily?

As someone said in a previous post, Operation sparkle is to remove old, equipment, files furniture, etc. it’s also used to surface clean the office of dirt, bugs, wiring, change lights and many other tasks associated with maintenance of the building. They have saved millions in contracts by using fewer contractors to do the bare minimum including resupplying the restrooms which is horrible. Outhouses are a better alternative to the deplorable conditions in CO facilities.

The issue is that CO techs already have a full time job while, driving around to multiple locations . Now INFOR has added to the frustration, have to be a daily time cop.

Funny Mobility also had a project sparkle pertaining to the cell sites. The project was to remove all the old Trac Vaults so they could eliminate keyed access. They want Unican push button locks installed so anyone vendors mostly can have unsolicited access to the cell sites. Never understood why you wanted that. I’d prefer to know who is in my house.

Central Valley California CO tech here. Haven't had any pressure to do Sparkle tickets in about 3 years.

They are really, really pushing to get PWSETS and DIPS done. In a huge way.

Cuz project sparkle is a DEI initiative.

You are ph--king clown. AT&T will do well to divest from you.

We had project Sparkle going strong in N.E. Texas a while back. Basically it was a project to empty the central offices of 30-40 years of unused equipment that was piled up in every storeroom or unoccupied space. Things like old CRT monitors, Win95 computers and obsolete test equipment got stacked on pallets and some contractor (who I'm sure made millions) hauled it all off.
I don't think there is anything nefarious about it. I mean really, if AT&T was trying to shine up the offices for sale, do you not think the massive debt would dissuade any potential buyer first???

Can't sell off your assets if they look like garbage.

It's like selling a house or a car.

You make it as pretty as you can to make it look better than it really is.

Tell that to Ameritech before SBC bought them sight unseen. That was a can of worms.

Is the office messy and the workload low? If so then that’s why

T is going to sell cage space as illegal alien condo space to the Biden Lib Dems for $500 per night. Gotta be clean.
