Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Keep an eye out for Billie Boy's Salary Increase

As the new year gets under way we should get some info on our wonderful CEO's pay package for 2024. I'll be keeping an eye out for the news, but others here can help as well if they find it somewhere.

"Times are tough" so I bet it will "only" be a 20% raise instead of the 27% raise he got last time. The guy who ran the bank into the ground gets JUICY increases. Makes sense?

Yep. Last year, teammates got 0.50% raises IF THEY WERE LUCKY, while he got 27%. This year teammates that made it through the insane amount of layoffs were graced with a whopping 2% , again IF THEY WERE LUCKY, and he’s at what, 20%? Now they expect more return to office days, where teammates will be less efficient and that pathetic 2% raise won’t even cover gas.

It should be cut and dry in the proxy once they publish that, but they’ll find a way to go outside of the formal measures to paint a rosey picture and give him more. Don’t forget he found $750m of savings for the bank. Surely he deserves a cut!

Kind of related, the amount of failing upwards I’ve seen during my career is staggering. It’s as if you enter a club once you reach the executive level where even when you’ve shown clearly that you’re sh-t, the next company will throw you a bone, a big title, and a larger bag of money and you get to do it all over again.
