Does anyone have any new information about layoffs? Anything about next week?
Leadership these days is best at keeping us in suspense, not so much in making the organization great (but for themselves, ofc). Not only they hit us over the head by having to wait till the end of February to find out how massive the layoffs will be and who will be affected, but they have been doing scattered but significant layoffs every week now.

So, after 11 years at Humana, meeting and exceeding all metrics, all of a sudden my manager audited QA went down, my attendance has been documented, was never told by my manager what my actual goal was so I missed it by 4, first time ever. I have had documented coaching once a week for the past 2 weeks, I turned down my lousy retirement package because I will retire in 3 years and still have my 2 youngest in college. Single mom here! This was all planned, and is being executed. My manager will not respond to TEAMS im, cell text, or email. When offered the retirement package they kept sending emails every other day and you had to respond, Why? Because it will revird you saying yrs or no many times. We are sorry ma'am but you declined 6 times. What a fn nightmare.
We have to insist that managers report to HR and the team when they are hiring people the know/worked with or are their friends.
This is becoming a drag on morale and WILL Impact the company.
Each business segment was asked to cut costs and employees in October of 23. Our segment RIf'd and offered Early retirement in November of last year. Your job could be cut at any time in Q1 24 if your segment is behind, sluggish Q1 24 results could result in more lay offs, but a strong Q1 24 would probably result in hiring of younger, lower paid employees.
I expect we'll hear something by Feb 9th. I'm guessing at least 50% cut from HUMCS and who knows where else. Just one big ole dumpster fire ...
