Just read it... but overall the article isn't really talking about anything new IMHO.

Here are the main talking points for non German speakers:

  • people are rumoring about layoffs (nothing new, why else are you here ;-) )
  • people being dissatisfied with the RTO (also nothing new)
  • pay raises being coupled to performance only (neither true nor untrue, at least for Germany, reality is somewhere in the middle)
  • bureaucracy in Operations should be trimmed down via a dedicated COO (sure, why else have a COO...)
  • and finally the article muses that growth goals can only be achieved by layoffs (probably the position of the board, but who knows at this point, it's not unlikely)
