Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

T-Mob and VZ leaders watching and having a party

Can you imagine them watching this debacle go down, and them laughing at all of the HUGE mistakes, PAST and PRESENT going on?........... must be very gratifying to watch your competition fall apart piece by piece. I cannot imagine that the BOD isn't thinking of making a change, Wall Street hates us, and all you have to do is look around to see why. Smoke and Mirrors won't get us out of this one, no matter what they try to sell you, it's a scam.

I am laughing at AT&T when they pay the dividends. Those fools. Ha.

Does Wall Street hate us or is it really some disgruntled workers with outdated skills that hates us?

BT is also doing a similar effort to T, any and all jobs are sent or already sent to India based workers.
Global trend for sure, just keeping my chin up and learning everything I can while I get the boot.

In the local markets Telecom, Carrier Support and Mobility in particular are small communities where most of us know someone or have a former co-worker at one of the other carriers. I can assure you it is no better at Verizon or T Mobile, by some accounts it may actually be worse. Also for what it's worth I recently read where Apple has told some employees in California that they will need to follow the work to Texas if they want to keep their jobs. It's a $#*+ show everywhere.

@mmh+1qEGpHyC look at the last 5 years since the current ceo took over. Closer to 30%. Maybe not as bad as T, but to a VZ shareholder, it sure isn't good.

Have you been to the Verizon section of the thelayoff? They aren't too happy there as well.

This won’t be a problem for most very soon. Meanwhile, T’s expenses and budget are finally getting under control after decades of bloat which Wall Street is noticing.

“…but they probably think your stupid too...”

  • You’re.

As in, “you’re” stupid.

RE: what makes you think Vz is any better (speaking from experience)

great point..... perhaps telecom just doesn't attract visionary leaders? still relying on old school technology and "legacy" (they love that word) cash from folks who just don't know better yet?
Perhaps I should extend the laughing party.... Apple and others come on in....but they probably think your stupid too.

What makes me think VZ is any better? VZ stock is down 2.8% in the last 365 days and T stock is down 13.41% in the last 365 days. Next question please.
