Give me a break. I'm a manager of a CM team. I definitely do NOT make 6 figures. Most of the nurses on my team make more than me per hour and overall. They get OT for over 40 hours so their pay pet hour increases. I do not get anything for over 40 hours so hourly pay decreases. And yes I've definitely considered a move back to CM.

Give me a break. Any manager/AD/Director that takes a low salary hoping their AIP will be huge is silly. Manager, AD and Directors for the most part are in the 6 figure club and their 10/15/25% AIPs are not that large of a part of their salaries. Most Directors are making at least 130k, a nice chunk of change, and are 100% dependent on the talent on their teams cause all they do is attend meetings all day and do what corporate tells them.

Yes, there are managers and directors who were hit HARD. Some of whom also lost their jobs and are trying to figure out how to care for their lives and the people on their teams and in their networks.

And there are also folks whose $3k was slashed who are trying to figure out how they will keep up with feeding their families.

We could all stand to have a little empathy for others right now and direct frustration where it is deserved.

To that jack wagon that doesn’t understand how the middle management leaders are effected more, let me help.

Manager and directors have a higher AIP percentage, but not necessarily a super high base. They were all sold on “total compensation.” So, while you’re rattling off your bs about your 3k, your leader lost a huge portion of her income.

These managers and directors got hit HARD. There’s no secret pool of money that they are tapping into. They got dumped on and now get the pleasure of listening to your garbage, while they figure out their own lives.

@2iwv+1qCrOTiX: this isn’t entirely correct.

Yes, 30% of 25% of 150K is absolutely a heck of a lot more than front lines will get. Definitely not going to debate that or that tge significantly reduced AIP at that front line level will hit harder the closer you are to front line. You’re absolutely right about that.

Where it’s wrong: when AIP was introduced, MIP went away. It was replaced by AIP, and, yes, the higher the position, the higher the eligible salary percentage.

We’re on the same team, mate. The argument is strong enough with the facts (e.g. CEO ‘22 base salary was 1/10 of his total compensation and his AIP equivalent of 200% of base).

We were all enrolled in the Jelly of the Month club! Thanks, Bruce. What a way to go out with a bang. Enjoy your golden parachute while people try to figure out how to stretch their budgets with a 70% cut.

Some clarity — Directors get 25%, AD 15% (same as Lead). Lowest AIP % before this was 2 years ago at 100%. This years 30% will be about 1/4 of what it was last year, which is the easiest way to do the math — and depending on organizational and individual performance. It su-ks, but I’m happy to have a job.

1umt+1qCrOTiX- WRONG!!!!!!! Directors have always bonused differently. They bonused before from lines got bonuses. But even if they only got 30% of 30% of 150k, that’s still a ton more than the rest of us!!

It’s disgusting that we work as hard as we do as care managers. I sit or stand at my desk all day long, afraid of getting an IM or email criticizing the work I’ve done. I have worked so hard for the past 10+ years for Humana. I have given them some of the best years of my life and now fear that I will be losing my job. I struggle to make my house payment and pay the bills. However, Bruce sends out pictures that show his beautiful home and a life that appears to be luxurious. The executives don’t appear to be struggling with the money they make on the backs of their modern-day slaves. I’ve had positive and negative experiences through my career at Humana. I’m not in fear of losing a job that I love, but rather in fear of losing a job that I have invested so much of my life into. How is it fair to work for so long for a company, build up some seniority and vacation time, then be told that you’ll know within a month or so if you’re going to be dismissed. So now what I start with another company all over again? Returning to the floor as a nurse seems almost impossible as I’ve aged. The announcement that we may lose our jobs is more than unfair especially when you’ve given your best. The AIP email from the CFO indicated we’d only get 30% but also mentioned leaders will share exact amounts in mid-Feb when the presents our compensation packages. Is this not saying that we’re all losing our jobs?

Some directors are definitely only getting regular AIP (30%) and not a huge payout. Every director I know is on AIP. They just get a higher % of their base pay in AIP payout. But they still get the same enterprise percent.

Absolutely DISGUSTED by the AIP announcement! But remember peeps, Directors and above aren’t on the same plan- they get a MIP, not AIP, and are still going to get HUGE pay outs.

I guess math is too hard for people. If you make 10000 and your AIP is 10% then at 100% multiplier and 100% AIP you get 1000. Still with me?

So if your multiplier is still 100%, but AIP is only approved for 30%, then you get 300.

So basically a 70% reduction in your AIP Bonus

What does 30% AIP mean/how does this affect our pay? Wasn't it 100% last year?

So the 30% AIP was real. Damn. Awful. Guess I'll be looking for a new job, between this and Bruce's email today things are looking pretty grim right now.

Executives got stock grants in December.
Still using corporate jets.
Still have multiple offices supporting executives.

Employee benefits and jobs have been cut though.
So it seems cost cutting occurs at the bottom.
