Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Humana to have 'limited' layoffs

Taylor did not respond to the Courier Journal's questions regarding how many employees would be impacted, when layoffs were set to begin, and what business changes resulted in the need for fewer employees.

I saw the senior bridge layoff on the warn tracker website, but not the other layoffs that have occurred. They started the scripted speech the last layoff, I think.

Been with the company 15 years...never seen it like this. Normally VERY up front, very transparent and quick to share info. This time? super hush hush, reading prepared scripts and my new all-time favorite thing ever: "Informational only town halls". No idea what is actually going on, but obviously this is a leadership group in a full-scale panic mode

Hate to break it to you all. I have NEVER found Humana Inc on ANY Warn notices. EVER. In the long history I have had with this now AWFUL company. That I left on my own and have regretted not leaving years earlier. They have, however, always given the correct notification to employees by law and always given a fair lay off package but THAT is not required by law. I expect their law off packages will become a thing of the past. Humana also became incorporated in Delaware soooo a lot of things are under the table and not trackable.

It has to be submitted and you can find information on the warn tracker website prior to the RIFs that occur. It doesn’t mean it will be in the news, that usually happens around the time it occurs.

They use sister companies, which may be a way for them to avoid the WARN notices.

WARN notices, (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act of 1988), a labor-protection law that requires companies with 100 or more employees to provide a 60 calendar-day notice of planned closings and layoffs.

See its not a large layoff. Just a bunch of limited continuous layoffs.
