What about taking advantage of the large engineering workforce nationwide?
IT is remote because they want to take advantage of the large IT workforce nationwide. They can underpay them relative to market with the remote designation, and keeping costs low is important to a utility, especially in a non core area.
Why does IT get to still be remote when everyone else doesn't?
What argument can you make for IT being remote that you can't also make for the engineers?
There are 4 brand new IT job postings on AEP right now, hiring fully remote.
What about collaboration?
Is Thursday’s townhall going to be streamed live? Anyone know?
@295z
You can't fit a fraction of the bldg in there, so he's fishing for su-kups - looking for Billy's special bois.
The 'not recorded' BS is to trigger su-kup FOMO. If the message were really that important, they would record it and also make an article out if it, and probably feature the article for 3 weeks.
Hm I don’t understand why it’s not recorded and why they chose to explicitly say that
Town Hall is at 1RP and the email specifically says it will not be recorded.
Wasn’t there a post several months back about major changes coming in June? Prophecy fulfilled? Nothing would surprise me at this point.
How do you get someone fired at AEP? Many complaints have been sent in and it’s like AEP insists on keeping this person who doesn’t give any value to the company.
1RP smells like sewer today. Is this normal??
What does everyone think about the General Counsel announcement?
@294d the town hall is only at 1RP. Not sure why though
I’m no longer at AEP, but the news is on AEP.com. https://www.aep.com/news/stories/view/10284/
@293d was that only announced to 1RP Employees? I'm in another Ohio location and didn't see a town hall announcement.
Bill has turned the C-Suite into Augusta National. It’s undeniable.
To the question about Julie’s c-suite … isn’t Phil still there? Unbelievable!
Another Berkshire buddy joins Bill's team.....no surprise there... AEP is BHE 2.0....
All these outside hires are really discouraging for career minded AEP people. This is Bill and the board saying they don’t see any homegrown talent to be developed.
Is there anyone left from Julie’s C-suite besides Greg?
If you’re a woman or have an ounce of any color, don’t even bother dreaming of becoming an executive leader under Bill Fehrman. I haven’t seen anything like this since since the early 90s.
@292n sitting in traffic downtown when the nuke hits. The American Dream.
@291f
Our floor is similar....no wonder half of the assigned garage is empty...
Any guesses for why Bill is having a 1RP Town Hall on Thursday, or why they are saying it won’t be recorded?
@291p just our luck it would be the apocalypse and we'd have to go in to work
RTO not gonna matter when the Israel/Iran conflict turns into a global nuclear holocaust.
No changes to my work area. It’s still me and one other person and the rest of the floor is empty…Yipeee RTO! Wahooo collaboration!
- Hedge Fund Fraud Schemes:
Ponzi Schemes: Like the infamous Bernie Madoff case, these involve paying returns to earlier investors with money from new investors, rather than actual investment profits.
Embezzlement: Hedge fund managers have been accused of stealing client funds.
Advanced Fee Schemes: Deceiving investors into paying fees upfront for promised high returns that never materialize.
Hiding Investment Losses: Manipulating accounting records to conceal poor performance.
- Insider Trading:
Hedge fund managers have been involved in insider trading, using non-public information to make advantageous trades.
Galleon Group: Founder Raj Rajaratnam was convicted of using insider information to profit from trades.
SAC Capital: Several traders associated with SAC Capital were charged with insider trading.
- Market Manipulation:
Archegos Capital: Founder Bill Hwang was convicted of manipulating stock prices through a scheme that cost global investment banks billions.
CFTC Charges: A hedge fund advisor and founder were accused of manipulating the U.S. dollar-South African rand exchange rate.
- Tax Fraud:
Credit Suisse: Fined for helping clients evade taxes.
UBS: Fined for helping French clients hide money to evade taxes.
- Other Compliance Failures:
TD Bank: Fined for systemic failures in anti-money laundering programs.
Consequences of Criminal Activity:
These actions can lead to significant financial losses for investors, legal repercussions, including fines, restitution, and imprisonment for those involved. In some cases, like with Long-Term Capital Management, misconduct within a hedge fund can even pose a risk to the global financial system.

Happy Fathers Day Daddy Carl 👉🏻👈🏻🥺
The hedge fund cabal has made hundreds of millions of Americans their sworn enemies, it is only a matter of time before the weight of the opposition crushes them. NO hedge fund tax payer funded bailout. Let their greed consume them. The 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence is as good a time as any to vanquish virtue-less immense wealth authoritarian tyranny.
I wonder if Bildo wished his daddy Ichan happy father's day?
Call the police, AEP is a crime scene. Customers and employees have been robbed and it is time for the corporate criminal perpetrators to be apprehended, prosecuted and punished. How can of millions of victims and constituents be denied the justice they elected their representatives to impose and enforce? PAC contributions are the answer to this question.
I was at another company a long time ago and the same thing happened . The Board brought in an outsider thinking it would shake the company up. It did, a lot of the good people left, those that could retire, did. That left those for various reasons who couldn't leave stuck with more work than they could handle. Projects had to be rushed into place, QA was just a rubber stamp and customer service was overwhelmed. The company spent the year before cutting out the dead wood so those left were good employees. Then they started to leave. At that point the company gave across the board 15-20% pay raises to try and keep people. It worked for a bit. Then hiring slowed down to help get the stock price back up and it started all over again. They fired the CEO, half the Board retired and they prompted a guy with the company for about 20 years and finally things got turned around and it went back to being a decent company. Sad to say, that guy retired and is now replaced with an outsider, will it be a repeat, don't know but AEP is on track more like the first guy who came in to shake things up. I'm glad I get to retire this time instead of looking for a new job. It was a good run. BTW, it took the board about 5 years to get around to firing that first guy.
Last post here, I am done dont care about AEP anymore. To the leaders, I wasted a good portion of my life helping you succedd while you exploited me. You are lousy human beings and I wish you tbe worse in life.
He who diminishes his fellow man to rise to greatness was never destined to be a self made man but rather a common thief, whose achievements are built on the lies and manipulations of a charismatic confidence man. How proud your parents must be of what you have become and the price others have paid for your achievements. Decades of debts are owed to those whose lives you diminished and they will be collected in full with compounded interest.
Well looks like another huge war in the middle east is in the works, can't wait for gas to go to $10 a gallon while Bill tells us we still need to drive in to the office every day.
Dont tead the posts if you dont like em. Its your life you have a dedicion. Quit whinning about others opininons. If you dont like go f yourself azz hole
You all are acting like a bunch of immature kids. You all get mad but that guy is right if your life is that miserable leave. Do something about it. And also no preparation about coming into the office was in one comment, everyone knew about it for months. I’m in my way out the door and can’t stand AEP but I’m doing something about it not just crying and getting angry with people who come out and say the honest truth. All corporation su-k. If you’re going to work for one try to find one you can tolerate working for.
AEP is a looser company for utilities. Hey you fake lesders. F you. Especially you rich spoiled brats that act like county boys. You are a faikure and you pass proves it. You may be abke to climb the laddrr with your money but even you have to know you are a fake and a lier.
When dealing with an infestation of rabid cannibals or rabid capitalists the simplest solution is to confine them all together and let them consume themselves. The winner will be in a corner gnawing on his or her own ankle to celebrate his or her victory.
WE have invested our youth in this company. It was OUR work ethic and OUR loyalty that made AEP an attractive target for you vulgar hedge fund vultures. We will not surrender our lifetime of shared sacrifice and accomplishments to a bunch of miserable and undeserving bully opportunist like you. We have been pushed to the limit of adhering to civilized behavior with you hedge fund savages. Walk away or face our righteous and resolute wrath. OUR customers will cheer us on and fully fund our efforts.
