No, always been just a job
I don’t think I was ever “proud”. I’d probably say I’ve hated my job before, but kept saying I could make positive changes here. In some way I have but it took a long time to make those changes…
Just needed 5 leadership changes in order for me to do my job more efficiently. Now I can take the vacations… hooray…
If I had to do it all again, I’d probably would’ve just left around 2017
I've always told people I have a sh_tty job at a "cool" company. It's just a job.
Proud? LOL...not a chance. It's just a job.
@ydf+1q8zJ2no. Yep. but these folks have been elevated positions of leadership and without HR training....as is typical at Nike. They have flagrantly violated HR rules are are making life miserable for more that several dozen folks in ways that would get anyone else (non protected under DEI rules) booted for cause in a hot minute. The irony is that the very people behaving badly would scream their heads off if they were similarly mistreated due to their protected status.
Yeah, a long long time ago...now I feel mostly disgust for my former colleagues who are still there and have shed their personas to reveal that they're a bunch of xenophobic, racist, small-minded people who are seemingly unaware of the fact that Nike is a global company. Odd considering that more than a few of these director-level people tick the LGBTQIA box.....
No not really. I took the job because I needed it, not because I respected Nike as a company.
I use to feel pride driving there. Now I feel dread.
