Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

HP CFO is joining us

Apparently, Marie Myers is moving to HPE to be “a part of the next big thing.” Who wants to bet that the "next big thing" is going to be preceded by more layoffs - and major ones at that - to be able to finance the said thing? I might be paranoid, but things like this always make me nervous.

I like how she got rid of her accent.

Marie Christmas. Keep the minions slaying exercise rolling for many good years to come. Indeed “record breaking”, Antonio.

I've talked with Marie when she was CFO and I was at HP. Due to the fact that she had to accelerate Enrique's layoff plan, which was originally supposed to be small and gradual, it left people to speculate whether the (wo)man upstairs miscalculated budgets and finances. So to compensate, she authorized more frequent layoffs and retirement packages.

Have fun... She's an embodiment of a corporate crusader that will cover her mistakes by justifying and executing irrational decisions.

Merry Christmas to our human filth senior upper management. Waiting for a new year for you to raid and rob é sinking ship and take advantage of her employees.

What could possibly go wrong?

The “next big thing” might involve her initiating a trivial cost-saving action to dismiss you.

This good for nothing lady has an unfavourable track record.

No need to be nervous. There are always layoffs, all year, each year. It doesn't matter who comes or goes. Nothing HPE is doing is remotely close to being "the next thing".
