Got word today in a leadership meeting that within the next 45 days Global Technology will be completely restructured(again) including a 12% reduction in FTE count. Cuts will happen in all of the BOEs, program and project management roles, major cuts in Geos and Tech Ops.

SEC go-live was just cancelled….
Mass wide layoffs are happening all over the company on the down low. A couple weeks ago it was innovation, before that I think marketing, then digital product/ program, HR. Then a few months before that digital

If cuts are needed, then why hire contractors?
“Most of” … sounds like bullsh-t. I work with ITC, they are getting better but they ain’t there yet. We’re still years out from that strategy to work.
I heard most fte will be laid off while they export services to itc

We were forced into a large contract with Kloud 9 … at a time when we really didn’t even need them, we wasted millions of dollars. We trained these incompetent contractors for months on our systems then let almost all of them go. Our VP said we had to use them and that it came from the top. The top being the Rat. Well our VP got sh-t canned on Friday(initials SG) …. Hopefully more of the Rats leavings will follow!!!!
They have already started divestiture from BATC…
According to someone in GT finance, the bogey is 200mil. Wasn't that the original budget? I would guess it's higher than that with what we're hearing. And they wonder why information keeps getting leaked. This whole reorg is wrong. Everyone is scared of being a target. Sharing is caring and revealing.
All due to the RAT and his cronies. I wish Nike would sue his a-s and the rest of them and make them pay for this sh-t show. They’re the reason we’re here. Why do we let them get away with this? After leaving, they just drive off into their wealthier sunset. Such bullsh-t. Where’s our golden parachute?
BATC & ATC have to be closed. Why did we go remote while also opening such expensive physical locations.
Why are we hiring in SoCal for that matter? We sell shoes, we don’t need Google’s hand-me-downs. Hire some kids remote from Idaho-U and pay them in potatoes.
12% is just scratching the surface of the waste that is Global Technology. We’d honestly be better off if we did a 50% reduction in headcount.
Sounds about right!! They probably feel like the MANA deployment will be stabilized by them …. Pretty awesome, lay a bunch of people off after they just worked over the holidays to get MANA done. Keep shining Nike!

THANK GOODNESS!!!! Tech is the most useless group second only to finance. Tech “leaders” have been out to lunch for months especially JH who slow talks about a whole lot of nothing.
Or...just hear me out...we close the BATC and ATC....and move those positions back to WHQ...and if they don't want to move there is the first of the cuts.

Nike doesn’t exactly have an excellent track record for making intelligent decisions about this kind of stuff. It’s going to be a mess any way they slice it.
Best to take the energy spent finger pointing and pontificating and reinvest that into preparing yourself for however this might impact you personally.
GT FTE count is definitely not anywhere near 12000
12,000 give or take. If the rumor is true, I estimate 1,500 will be affected.

The new CTO doesn’t have anything to do with this. This was decided long before she joined.
Doubtful if true...CTO just said she was going to take 100 days to listen...as told by her boss CEO to do.
Service Managment could really use the sytche! Bunch of brown nosing mo--ns who waste money on parties and waste time making horrible videos just to get into EC's pants.
Finally some transparency even if it’s a half truth, but that feels about right.

I have been waiting for the BOEs to get hit. Some of them are pretty big while others are bare bones.
Ideally, people would be reallocated to other teams but I don’t have much faith in leadership or HR.
