Why the surprise that BBT people were targeted from day one. Kelly, Weaver, Starnes they all were aware of the systematic trend of pushing hBBT out. He-l if you were in any kind of leadership position you knew it was coming and we’re not surprised. I watched it happen and then was a victim of it.
There is clearly a trend to get rid of the hBB&T people and from what I’ve seen, your past performance has Nothing to do with the decision. There also seems to be a targeting of employees age 50 and over and again, prior stellar performance doesn’t matter.
I know most of the people on that list. But in all fairness, most left about 2 years ago. I’m guessing they could read the writing on wall either took the VRS package if offered, or jumped ship to a competing bank right after the bonus hit.
Targeting of BB&T folks has been a reality across the bank since the merger closed. The SunTrust folks don't want anyone else playing in their toxic, low effort sandboxes.
It is very obvious that the hSTI folks have targeted the hBBT folks placing pressure on them to exit stage right. The promotions were doled out to hSTI folks so why wouldn’t they pass out the rifs to hBBT folks?
The previous list of teammates leaving seems to be really lopsided against hBBT. Were any of those hBBT teammates considered to be performers (Sterling Performers)? Looks like purposeful targeting…..
Judging from this board there were plenty of hBBT who outright refused to accept the merger and work to build one team. I believe in the power of purple!

Just about every HBB&T person has left (on their own accord).
The word of the day is turnover…..not RIF.
