Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Wealth is in Shambles

With the layoffs of Wealth bankers and those in Operations and Supervision it is taking over 5 days to get an account approved for investment, 2 days to load on Envesnet and the get a clients funds invested. I had two wire that I had to do that were delayed by 6-8 hours due to the ridiculous restrictions put in place. This service will drive clients away. It is infuriating when a client wants to buy a t-bill, fund or CD and we can place the trades until it is all done. The AI system reviews it first and then it wakes for s
Supervision to put human eyes on everything.

And can we discuss the over the done Lexus Nexus procedures. What a disaster.

They started destroying Wealth as soon as the deal was announced and months and months before it closed. It was a sight to see. As soon as the merger "of equals" was announced SunTrust people rolled in like they owned the placed. Guess we found out why!

Wealth was the first division to begin the dismantling of a successful way of doing business in order to do it the Suntrust way. We led the way in destroying processes and client-centric policies. We dismantled an excellent lending process and team, created an account opening process that years later is still slow and ridiculously cumbersome and continue to drive away Advisors, support staff and customers. To say it’s a shame is a grand understatement.

CCB doesn’t exist anymore. They’ve taken the word Community out of every line of business since the merger. Welcome to Truist, the retirement home for failed investment bankers.

Good to know that after destroying Wealth, executive management found it imperative to create a new role for Joe Thompson. Chief Controls, etc. Officer - what a vague, hilarious farce. I guess Bill Rodgers had to come up with something different than the truthful job description of keeping his neighbor employed - Chief “Getting Paid By My Friend To Stay Out Of The Way” Officer.

Uh, I didn’t say CCB. This is the wealth division.

Unfortunately CCB is going to get a lot worse before it gets better. Wait until the underwriting and portfolio changes happen in January and a lot of knowledge is escorted out the door. Stay tuned, the CCB circus is gonna need a bigger tent!

Literally everything in CCB is harder than it needs to be. It's a racket -- and I assumed Wealth HAS to be better but maybe not (from what you're saying).

Can confirm, CCB is a complete dumpster fire with more layoffs coming in January. Might as well shut it down at this point.
