Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

This bank is trash

Our risk partners are gone and no one has any idea who to work with. Several major initiatives are staffed exclusively with contractors. No one knows who their boss will be with the next wave of announcements in January. Nothing is getting done except having useless meetings. Every decision is political and people are stressed to the limit.

Hopefully no one thinks that AVP actually means anything at any bank. It’s a joke.

In my LOB everyone is an AVP... and I do mean everyone. Unless you are a 110 or above the title is useless. No AIPs, no bonus, no RSUs. But because you are salary, you are exploted and expected to work 60 hours a week, when needed. They don't care about your work-life balance and if you complain you get written up and RIFed first. HR is complacent because they only protect SunTruist! For all the youngsters, run.... Don't look back... get out while you can!

Kelly sold out to a bunch of liberals at Suntrust. Period. The atmosphere is toxic. Now, can you say Titanic?

You Teammates that survive the impending layoffs will be working for a great bank. Bill and Beau are putting their stamp on this organization and will take it to heights you cannot imagine. They have freed themselves of stale old BBT and their archaic ways. This new bank will be transformative in the industry. You heard it hear first.

Every time I say this people say "wellllllll ... you're generalizing.. it depends on the line of business you're in, etc." -- but by now I've spoken to many different segments and even LOB's and there seems to be dumpster fires everywhere tbh
