Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Global town hall .... what a joke !

Anyone in a non customer facing position has thier head in the sand or drinks way too much company Kool aid if they think there job won't be up for outsourcing at some point. Oh yes , let's all go to India and visa versa and we can share our knowledge of our jobs ...SMH.... no thanks, I'm not training anyone to take my job..... I'll just sit n wait for severance to come my way

They’ll have to get a law or two changed before my job can be outsourced. They aren’t allowed to access some of the data I work with out of country.

They are knee deep in DEI, that's the problem.

@dwm if it's gonna take you a few days to navigate the names 2-3 levels down from Charlie, you shouldn't be working for a major US bank. Any capable person would find this within a few minutes.

“ Look at Teamworks, CS (CEO) and go down the org from there.”

That’s what the person said they are doing. However Charlie has no “DO” reporting to him, so might be a while before they can find. Going through however many directs he has and then, knowing this place, we’ll find out he’s some three or four down from Charlie, so we might not find out for a few days.

Good grief, use some critical thinking and investigating skills. Look at Teamworks, CS (CEO) and go down the org from there.

Global Operations is called out in intranet articles.

It’s offensive how these overpaid old men talk about how much they enjoy being in the office together. They are so tone deaf to those of us who don’t have a spouse at home to take care of everything while we spend unnecessary hours and expense on the road to do the same exact job we can do at home. Must be nice not to worry about how you will squeeze even more gas money out of the family budget just to put more miles on a vehicle you can’t afford to replace. WF talks about doing the right thing, but did the old bait and switch with the fully remote jobs we agreed to. They pay lip service to DE I but eliminate WFH options that made it possible for underemployed people to have decent jobs. Why do these geriatrics think that we need to be able to touch and smell each other in order to collaborate? This company has absolutely no respect or consideration for their employees. It’s amazing how companies that $hit on their workers expect those workers to produce amazing returns. Hoping the BOD changes top leadership before it’s too late… or maybe failure IS the plan…

Yes, Hudson Yards has made it their mission to harass and annoy their own employees until they 'volunteer' to leave. Each of us is free to respond in a way that is best for them, but personally I'm assuming that we'll all be downsized eventually, so I'm keeping my resume up to date and my fingers on the pulse of the local job market. I've also stopped attending any town halls from anyone in leadership. I don't read their stupid emails. These clowns have nothing to say to be. I'll keep doing my job because I appreciate my directs and my manager, but HY can go to he-l. If they want me gone "whatever", but I'm not leaving for free. They're going to have to pay the severance. And it's a lot of severance.

They basically said that they will “drive attrition” aka make employees miserable enough to leave voluntarily - whenever possible. I guess being an @$$hole is required to be in a leadership position at WF.
