Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

What do you love about your job?

No place is 100 percent bad. There have to be some things that are keeping you here. What are they? For me, it's my coworkers. My team is an amazing group of people I enjoy working with. My manager is also a decent guy, which helps a lot. Sadly, everything else is a mess, but those two things keep me going.

What I like the best is that I'm no longer at Fiserv lol.

I like bragging about having one of the highest paid CEOs in America.

To me, If you can desensitize yourself to the illogical and crazy aspects of Fiserv, and you’re not in a role that gets yelled at, and you have a good manager, then it’s not a Horrible place to work if you just do your job and close the lid when you leave the office …it’s like a government job.

Unless you make a gross amount of money at Fiserv, coworkers and managers are all I've heard as a staying point. I remember the marketing around "moving money moves the world," don't worry, money will still be moved by 100 other companies even if you leave, so there shouldn't be guilt that you were positively impacting the world.

However, I will admit Fiserv is a pro at moving money up to Frank at the speed of life.

Co workers, many of whom I hired or helped hire. Some of the clients that I’ve helped over the years and am close with, and I still have my manager who is pretty good. Fully aware it could all change in a flash with this place but for the moment that’s it for me.

Johnny Paycheck. And good team mates, which sadly, with such poor management, can only go so far.

I reported to a fantastic manager and was in a solid team. Unfortunately, the people who mentored me as well as that manager all left for better opportunities due to the sh!t storm that Fiserv has become the last few years. I followed suit. You should too.

You sound like you work on my team. If it weren't for having a decent manager who goes the extra mile, I wouldn't have stayed at Fiserv.

Our particular division hasn't been hit as bad as other segments of company, however the effects of attrition does trickle down impacting our efficiency.

News doesn't travel at all, so I keep my ears open for anything that impacts my role and team.
