Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Where is the greener grass?

I'll admit I probably waited too late in the year to begin looking (beginning of Q4) but WHERE are these jobs everyone claims to be getting? Where are you getting 40% raises? Which company's culture are you bragging about? I need to know which companies to target. I can't stand this place. You already have your new job so it's not like any of us will be your competition. HELP US ESCAPE!

I didn't move for a bunch of increase but do have bonus opportunities which will more than make up for less benefits and AND it took months to get over the PTSD of not knowing when the next hammer would fall. Plus FT WFH with a great organization. Every day I get remote job opportunities similar to what I did at Fiserv, so they are out there and certainly will be ramping up now that it is after the 1st of the year. Leaving of my own volition was the best thing that has happened to me after years at Fiserv...

The amount of movement at the upper level leadership positions in the last several months is pretty telling for sure! Not good...

I got a minuscule pay raise, but I dropped my average hours worked by about 30%. I cannot even begin to put a value on the improvement this has made to my work/life balance.

Oh, and I am 100% WFH.

Money ain't everything.

DXC, Full remote, but It depends on project and your manager. Yeah the grass is not greener (some used apps and technologies are old) but I would rather be remote with 40 % pay rise than in the office missing 40% from my pay check! From my quick math it would take me a little more than a decade of working for fiserv to get the pay as I'm earning right now plus the inflation would wreck me every single year because of fiserv 3% pay rise. Simply you will never catch up the inflation from the bad economy years.

Yeah and the 40% pay rise was because I was severly underpaid in fiserv for my role... I was thinking that from year to year I would get nice bumps because of that but boy I was wrong! The manager told me that he got one budget so the additional pay rise for me would be taken away from my colleages.

I actually took a pay cut...moderate...but in exchange for higher cash bonus structure and a STABLE working environment where people are valued. In a senior manager role with a group of direct reports who were in the crosshairs, it was the most stressful job I ever have had....or will have. It took a lot of time to appreciate and "trust" my new environment which highlighted just how toxic Fiserv became. The value to me of the cultural change and to remove myself from a position of all the responsibility to enact the strategies from the top, but no authority to challenge or have input was invaluable. Yeah, I see the change in monthly income, but it's not a drastic change to lifestyle and I am saving tons on Tums and don't dread getting up in the morning. The folks talking about huge increases are not likely coming from operations roles. Yes, the job search process su-ks...but keep at it, work your network--especially Fiserv alumni who already made it to new homes. The refugee community is more than willing to assist where they can...and any internal email or referral does play a good role in moving resumes to the top of the piles.

It is hard out there right now. I began looking on 9/15. I've applied for over 50 jobs and very few interviews. Employers reach out, set up a time to meet and then ghost you. It's disappointing. With the nonsense Fiserv is putting us through and finding a new job over the holidays is stressful. I'm working hard to get out. I just want it over.

I got a 50% increase, completely WFH and a company that cares about it's employees. As crazy as it sounds, employers like seeing Fiserv on a resume even though we all know what's going on in the inside.

If you know names of people who left then check out their LinkedIn page. Especially if they did the same job as you.

I got about a 12% increase when I left but the difference in work life balance is insane. If I figured it out by hourly, it would be more. I like my old team better but I didn't have a choice. No job is perfect and competition is fierce right now.

Focus less on specific companies and more on the role you want.
