Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

McGriff

What is going on between Truist and McGriff? All McGriff were removed from all Truist buildings. Seems like something is up, besides just spinning off to Truist Ins Holdings

Selling insurance makes sense

Deep tho let’s and lolz indeed.

Selling profitable divisions to prop up failing divisions is an admission of what an abject failure the merger of “equals” was. It is like a couple getting married then finding they have to sell off their pre-marriage assets just to make ends meet.

If it wasn't obvious insurance is departing as their own entity, from now until Q2 2024 at some point they will not be apart of Truist. Some of them have already moved over and are in a completely separate environment per ongoing changes to get them moved over and off out platforms. As to the details behind why, I have no idea nor do I care, that is not my call or department, we just get quite a bit of work from them on our platform and I assume bigger questions will be raised once they are gone and their is a giant void of work teams aren't getting from them anymore, so probably more rounds of RIFD employees after they are gone. Like I said in a couple of previous threads, buckle up, if you survive all this, it may not be worth sticking around plus you'll already know how they treat you so I encourage you to go find a better place that appreciates your skillsets. Godspeed, enjoy the new year if you can.

Couldn’t see rest of article:
Truist Financial remains locked in negotiations with private equity firm Stone Point Capital over the valuation of Truist Insurance Holdings as it works on the divestiture of the business, with no strategic acquirers yet emerging to disrupt the process, The Insurer can reveal.

Insurance is complete chaos. No one knows what is going on. Senior Management is silent and morale is a mess. It’s every person for themselves at this point. No one knows it they should leave or stay

Business as usual. Rogers and his gang of merry bandits hate insurance more than community banking. No more pushing insurance products as there will be no money to be made for SunTruist. What Kelly King did to this bank is not criminal but morally corrupt. Good Christian my a-s. There should be a special place in he-l for him!
