You have to be employed through March 1 to get the payout

The snarky comment of good riddance perfectly illustrates why some people choose to work elsewhere while timing their exit to maximize the benefits for themselves. I don’t get the resentment (nor do I understand the psychology of a current employer with an attitude problem trolling those seeking a better situation). The C-suite does it and has made it clear that working with CVS is transactional. Applause to those that get their annual bonus and quit the next day. The next job might not be greener pastures but they had the courage to try and make a choice. Sort of like choosing to be a keyboard bully, but healthier and kinder. Poison wording strongly reminds me of a “SR” leader I left behind, including the (limited) vocabulary.

Good riddance. Grass is never greener on the other side.

As long as:

  1. you make the minimum months in the previous year (varies by department and leaders) and,
  2. you are not categorized as too new to rate, for the year end evaluation, and,
  3. you are in the system when the financial incentives are finalized around Feb / Mar,
  4. and you're rated at least meeting expectations ---

then you will get a partial or full bonus in the next year. Colleagues who are employees by 1/1/2023 until 12/31/2023 will get their full bonuses by March of 2024. If you joined 50% of 2023 - you will get 50% of your bonus.

Yes, just as others have stated, you need to be employed when they're paid out. Otherwise, Karen gets it.
