Thread regarding SS&C Technologies layoffs

Everyday gets worse. Managers su-k.

No one cares about the morale of the team I’m on. Stretched thin, “get it done” attitude, and people constantly leaving. They can’t get anyone hired in at the rate people are leaving. A constant revolving door. Ugh I hate it. My team is getting so behind on the work.

Today, I got called and was notified that the company was restructing so they laid me off. Everything changed since they incorporated AI. It's like actual humans are not wanted anymore. I contacted HR and they stated that they got the news this morning that layoffs were in effect and to expect phone calls. However, higher up management knew that they were laying off folks so why not prepare people. I knew something was up when they started loosing clients like water pouring from a faucet then the work started drying up and getting slow.

I feel like everyday we log in to find even more turmoil. I want just one day without any system issues. No one can be held accountable when nothing works as designed. I can’t get through a day’s worth of work in two days to save my life. And then they’re shredding our teams apart while work still needs to done. If you’re in a department where you find deliverables are being executed timely, count your effing blessings. SLAs have got to be crud at this point.

Our teams have been cut as well. Some are even down to just a single person. They know that the majority of teams are understaffed and underpaid, but they don’t give a damn. It honestly wouldn’t surprise me at all if they demand mandatory overtime for the frontline workers while the incompetent management takes long vacations while telling us that we can’t have more than two consecutive workdays off during this busy season. As mentioned in earlier posts, they want to give more work to the Offshore workers so that we have more flexibility when staffing projects. They want us to begin creating step-by-step documentation so that these workers can take our jobs when we are finally laid off. I’ve never in my life seen such a poorly run company. I seem to recall an email that Billy Bob and company are planning a town hall. When will they release that most of us can see through the lies and rather send that hour doing something much more meaningful.

Maaaaan fu-k this place! Calling the help desk and asking about a day to day application like ControlIQ and them having no idea what the he-l it even is… our IT team is sh-t, our help desk is sh-t, the whole company is sh-t. Because they keep laying off the wrong people and stripping down departments while d-mb fu--s at the top are sitting pretty for all the wrong reasons. Nearly everyone that is a manager and above ain’t knowing jack sh-t about how to run this joint. If it weren’t for the front line workers, S1’s and supervisors this place would have been long gone!!

Imagine being on the relationship side and watching everything crumble in Operations. The dread that is lingering as client meetings approach is no joke. Also the indisputable conversations we are going to have to carry out soon about Offshore handling the work. I cringe just thinking about all of the discourse that’s to ensue.
