Rescinding new job offers

I was offered a job recently. What are the chances of the offer being rescinded?

In contrast, don’t wait around forever either. Citi is notorious for making you wait for a month or more as they continue to look for the same skils\experience for lower pay. They very well may have you wait for two months and circle back around with a “thank you for your interest in this position but we are going in another direction”.
While you may have been made an offer, don’t think they aren’t still looking for a better deal. An offer is all lip service until you see an offer in print ready for you to sign.

How long should you wait, well that depends on you and what you are comfortable with.

Zero as far has having to do with the re-org. All postings have been going through constant scrutiny and re-approvals......anything in question was unposted and cancelled long ago. Now, if you start harassing the hiring manager or HR and make yourself out to be a psycho, or fool, they can always rescind an offer.
