Never ceases to surprise me that bank employees don't know what the effects of a credit crunch are. Schwab is fu---d
Every communication I’ve seen about layoffs has also mentioned Q1 2024 too. Maybe it will be a smaller layoff (speculation on my end), but this seems to be Schwab’s business model.
You are correct that the job market is very tough right now. However no one is safe at Schwab. They layoff often, and I have been told by an MD that there are more layoffs coming in Q1.
