If you want a textbook example of what a lack of leadership looks like, Truist is it. We are doomed unless there are major changes at the top.

This thread symbolizes the culture differences in the two organizations that still exists and will for years to come. The Suntrust culture led by Bill and all of his leadership down through the organization is on display here. The takeover will be completed first quarter of 2024 when the BOD is completely in the pocket of Bill. By the end of next year it will either a solid bank or ready for the next merger.

Any of us could get laid off. Several have been TPA winners so to insinuate anyone is safe is ignorant. You seem to be part of the culture problem always thinking they are out to get you and you have “no chance”. How about continue to focus on how great your team is doing and be happy for teammates that have an extremely tough task of going on the trip. Thanks for motivating me even harder to be better at what I do and I will put my blinders on the negative energy.

Well, there you go! The 99% percent who have no chance at being "awarded" a Truist vacation don't have sympathy for the 1% who lose out and complain... that's not salty! IMO it seems pretty insensitive to be complaining on a "layoff" board about losing an employer paid vacation when some teammates are facing losing their livelihood.

* For the record, I've been here over ten years. Not one teammate on my team has ever been nominated, let alone received an award - and before you ask EVERYONE on my team works their butts off for Truist! Only folks that get nominated are sales people and leadership favorites!

This is the epitome of the lackluster performance of the bank. Stating “not invited”. TPA is earned. It’s not a participation trophy award event. Sorry

And cancelling the Truist Performance Award trip the week of this year for an absurd reason based on Silicon bank going under. The trip was paid for already and then more money spent with the cancellation. These guys have no feel or acumen. Billy, hang them up and go watch the sunset somewhere. Bring in someone under 50 with a vision. Old school commercial men running bank is comical. Musk and Cook railed on banks all the time because of the backwards thinking.
